Devi Kroell for Target: Hobo in Goldtone (L) and Anthracite (R) each $34.99 and only available at www.target.com
Devi Kroell Originals: Classic Hobo Long Python Brown (L) and Black Anthracite (R) each $2590 available at www.devikroell.comLadies I just bought two bags from Devi Kroell’s special line for Target. The Hobo Bag in Goldtone (above) and the Pouchette in Goldtone ($19.99) arrived at my door today and I ripped off that Target packaging like a six year-old at Christmas. I wasn’t disappointed. The bags are such good quality and look nothing like their price tag would suggest. Each bag is an alternative to Kroell’s current line available at www.devikroell.com. I know some of you prefer the real thing but this offer is too good to pass up and I’m sure you fellow fashionistas won’t be able to spot the difference!
yep I bought one at the Target in BOWIE...in silver it is so cute, and for 19 a steal but the almost 3k price for an original I could buy my hubby a bike or pay for my sons prek with that!!

honestly, I still prefer the more expensive bag, but I will definitely be heading to Target to pick up the steal.
ReplyDeleteTrust me, the difference is obvious when you see the bags in person. They're cute but the material is very cheap.
ReplyDeleteThe less expensive bags are "the real thing," too--they're just not crafted from a dead snake and priced at a monthly mortgage payment. Yes, it makes sense to pay for quality, but even fashion insiders have commented on the skyrocketing cost of handbags in recent years. That cost inflation comes from hype--the so-called "it-bag" phenomemon--not an increased cost of labor or materials.
ReplyDeleteI admit the orignals are not as well crafted as the Target line bags, but they are still incredibly well-priced at a mere $35. However, there are other companies who would charge hundreds for the same bag!
ReplyDeleteI've found actual leather bags for $35 - you got to shop those sales girls. My point is that it is a cheap looking bag that won't stand up wear and tear wise. If you want disposable chic, then this might be for you but I'd rather spend a little more and have something that will last.
ReplyDeleteMy bad! I meant to say the Target line is not as well crafted as the original! :)
ReplyDeleteVery glamorous!! I really like the Mulberry bags and the Chloe Paddington bags. What do you think of the oversized bags that all the celebrities are sporting?

I have thought of getting the Target bag. I live in California and can't buy real python here; it's been illegal since the late 1970s.
ReplyDeleteJ. Crew has had python shoes from time to time and has clearly said on its Web site that they can't ship to California, as a sidebar.
Go girlie, I love this blog
